“We believe in producing music that enlightens the mind and edifies the soul,” said Paul Cardall, performer and founder of Stone Angel Music. Every week, over 25 million people tune in to Spotify, Pandora, iTunes and more, to listen to Cardall’s music and to the artists that are featured on his Stone Angel label. In the 20 years of the label’s existence, it has released 3 #1 Billboard albums, and 10 other projects that made the Top 20 on Billboard’s New Age, Classical or Christian charts. “Sunday” has been curated to include some of the label’s most celebrated artists along with some special guests.

“Sunday is a story about Stone Angel,” Cardall notes. “Steven Sharp Nelson, from The Piano Guys, was one of the first artists we signed to the label, and we’ve done three albums with him. Steven’s fellow Piano Guy Jon Schmidt is also on the album as a guest of Shane Mickelsen. Steven’s equally talented sister Camille Nelson is on the album as well, and her track includes vocals by Alex Sharpe, formerly of The Celtic Women. Ryan Tilby is an amazing musician who plays guitar, bass, and banjo. And that’s not everybody. So for me, this feels like a real family event that highlights so many of the Stone Angel performers.”

In addition to the collection of re-releases, the album also contains a never-before released original track by Cardall titled “Afternoon Rain.”

Review: Paul Cardall will melt your heart with 'Worth of Souls' album

Posted May 12, 2018 by Markos Papadatos

On April 27, Christian music artist and pianist Paul Cardall has released his inspirational new album "Worth of Souls" via Stone Angel Music.

The collection opens with "Come as You Are," which features the crystalline voice of Kenz Hall. It is followed by the soothing tune "Oceans" by Jordan Moyes and Ashley Hess.

The collection opens with "Come as You Are," which features the crystalline voice of Kenz Hall. It is followed by the soothing tune "Oceans" by Jordan Moyes and Ashley Hess.

Ellee Duke lends her crisp vocals on "Lift Me Out," and equally impressive is "How Can It Be" by Sierra Lauren. Jordan Moyes' voice on the acoustic guitar-driven "O Glorious Day" is smooth as silk. "The Homecoming" is pure ear candy, while "Tears of the Saints," sung by Trevor Price, has a haunting vibe to it.

After "Push and Pull," Cardall's CD closes with "He Knows What He's Doing," featuring the rich, powerful voice of Charley Jenkins, as well as the moving title track "Worth of Souls," where Hess lends her angelic voice once again. This album is an ode of God's unconditional love and mercy. Worth of Souls is available on iTunes. The album debuted at No. 20 on the Billboard Contemporary Christian Chart, as well as No. 11 on iTunes Christian CD sales chart, and No. 14 on the Amazon Christian CD sales chart. The Verdict Overall, Paul Cardall delivers on his latest album Worth of Souls. Each of song on this musical effort has its own identity, thus making it hard to select a personal favorite. This CD garners an A rating. To learn more about Christian musician Paul Cardall and his new album Worth of Souls, check out his official website.

Christian artists come together for the 'Worth of Souls' project to fight suicide, depression

By Carmen Rasmusen Herbert

Published: March 12, 2018 1:33 pm Updated: March 12, 2018 1:40 p.m.

Who can tell the value of a soul? Only God, and he has declared that “the worth of souls is great” in his sight (see Doctrine and Covenants 18:10). He created us, his children. He has made it his work and glory “to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man” (see Moses 1:39).

We learn from the scriptures that to have eternal life means to live forever with our Father in Heaven. He gave his Only Begotten Son to die for us, so that his beautiful promise may be fulfilled through the Atonement of Jesus Christ. He, the God of the universe, wants to be with you and with me.

Life is hard. And there are so many distractions that keep us from remembering what our Father in Heaven wants so badly for us to never forget — that we, as his literal spirit sons and daughters, have immeasurable worth.

But for so many, that is not an easy thing to accept or believe. We live in a time when who we are seems to depend greatly on what we are, or how others feel about us. And it is causing anxiety, depression and feelings of inadequacy to the point of giving up. Comparison is stealing our confidence.

Paul Cardall, an accomplished Billboard pianist, producer and artist, is seeking to change this way of thinking and to fight against these feelings that freeze us with self-doubt and insecurity by counteracting the dark surge of suicidal thoughts through what he knows best: music.

Camille Nelson's Album 'Lead Me Home' Debuts on Billboard's Classical Crossover Chart

Music News Desk Aug. 29, 2017

Camille Nelson, a musician specializing in acoustic-driven folk music, recently released a new album that debuted no. 8 on Billboard Magazine's Classical Crossover Chart. Earlier this week the album, Lead Me Home, also spent time in the New Age category at No. 1 on iTunes and Amazon. This is Camille's first full-length studio album with Stone Angel Music and was released on August 18. Accompanied by a string ensemble with guest artists, Alex Sharpe (formerly of Celtic Woman), her brother Steven Sharp Nelson of The Piano Guys and Ryan Shupe of Ryan Shupe and the Rubberband, Lead Me Home blends elements of folk, classical, bluegrass, and new age music.

"Every single person played an integral part in this collaborative project and it's truly an album close to my heart," said Nelson. "Integrating emotive, reminiscent, and peaceful melodies, I feel this album captures that genuine essence of what it means to be home."

Camille also recently released her latest music video from Lead Me Home, "Nearer My God to Thee." Filmed at Tibble Fork Reservoir in American Fork Canyon, "Nearer My God to Thee" is a serene music video capturing the peace and naturalness of its surroundings. Shot by Elias Jessop, this music video was inspired by everyday people whose answers from the question, "What Brings You Nearer to God?" were captured and included in the video to help others think about what brings them nearer to God.

Brother and Sister Nab Spots on Billboard Chart's Top 10

Nashville, TN (PRWEB) August 30, 2017

Steven Sharp Nelson, one of the founding members of the Piano Guys, reclaimed no. 1 on the chart with the Piano Guy's album Uncharted while his younger sister Camille Nelson debuted no. 8 for her new album Lead Me Home.

Though it certainly doesn't happen often, if at all, it's no surprise considering the talent of both artists.

"Camille is a rare find for a label. Her classical training, song-writing gift, fun personality, and optimism make her a natural fit for Stone Angel Music," said Paul Cardall, Executive Producer for Stone Angel Music.

Steven also has gained attention for his musical skill, earning awards that include the no. 1 top music video on Youtube, Cello Wars.

And as Camille's new album continues to garner attention, moving to no. 1 in iTunes's New Age category, Steven also praises his sister's work.

"Not long ago my sister, Camille Nelson, and I would stay up all hours of the night writing songs that no one would ever hear. And here she is releasing an album that blows me away -- beautifully crafted guitar/violin tunes that speak to the soul. So proud of you, sis!" Steven wrote on his Facebook page.

Composer Shane Mickelsen to release debut album Classical Hymns

Salt Lake City, Utah (PRWEB) March 22, 2017

Distributed world-wide by CDBABY, Deseret Book Distribution, and Alliance Entertainment, Classical Hymns features performances by guest artists Jon Schmidt playing Mickelsen’s piano/orchestral arrangement of “Come Thou Fount,” and grammy-nominated violinist Jenny Oaks Baker featured in an arrangement of “There is a Green Hill Far Away” for solo violin and string orchestra.

Mickelsen is known for his work arranging and orchestrating Paul Cardall’s No.1 billboard Album, A New Creation, as well as arrangements for other local artists. He is the owner of Mickelsen Music Services, a business offering services ranging from musical transcriptions to full orchestral arranging/composition. Mickelsen’s clients have included several LDS artists whose music is sold at Deseret Book including Paul Cardall, The Piano Guys, and many more.

“Classical Hymns sounds like a soundtrack filled with some of our favorite hymns,” producer, Paul Cardall said of the album, “Shane understands the complexity of classical music, and has found a powerful way to express a universal love for deity through these soothing orchestral arrangements rich in melody and color.”

“He is incredible to work with,” Jon Schmidt said of Shane, “He is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and responsive.”

Pianist Paul Cardall to Release First Classical Album 'A New Creation'

Music News Desk Aug. 26, 2016

A new heart. A new life. A new creation. These words seem merely platitudes to some, but for internationally acclaimed composer Paul Cardall, they are quite literally the reason he is alive. Cardall, a two time #1 Billboard-charting pianist with 20 studio albums to his credit, is literally a living miracle.

In 2009, facing congenital heart disease, Paul Cardall was told by cardiologists his defective heart would soon stop beating. But, as a result of a complex heart transplant, after waiting 385 days on the organ donor list, Cardall went on to release two #1 Billboard charting albums.

Now, with his latest release, A NEW CREATION, Cardall explores a deeper level of spirituality, introducing lyrics and full orchestration into his catalogue for the first time. "Each song on this album is designed to invoke deep spiritual feelings," Cardall notes. "The album represents a journey from innocence at birth, through the ensuing brokenness of the human condition,
